Audrey Waldron, PT

Audrey Waldron, PT is the owner of Waldron’s Peak Physical Therapy (WPPT) and has been practicing physical therapy since 1990.  She established WPPT in 2002 in order to be able to provide exceptional, quality care treatment that incorporates evidence based practice in conjunction with years of personal experience.  She believes that each individual should have access to a health care provider that will listen and jointly formulate a plan of care specific for their needs.  She has developed a reputation for serving as a primary care provider for individuals with musculoskeletal conditions and works closely with physicians to ensure that an individual is receiving the most comprehensive care possible to maintain their PEAK performance.

Audrey continuously strives to enhance her clinical skills by attending a wide variety of clinical education courses in orthopedics, manual therapy, Trigger Point Dry Needling and fitting individuals for orthotics, to name a few.  Over the past 20 years she has taken close to 100 continuing education courses and is presently pursuing her Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Denver.

In addition to her clinical success, she is professionally active in the Colorado American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and the Private Practice Section of the APTA.   She served as President of the Colorado APTA for 4 years, Chief Delegate for 4 years and served on the board of Directors for a total of 14 years.  She has served on and chaired numerous committees on both a statewide and national level and has testified regarding numerous pieces of legislation affecting the physical therapy profession in Colorado.

Audrey enjoys mentoring young professionals and assists in the physical therapy Doctoral programs at both the University of Colorado and Regis University.  She was awarded the Colorado Outstanding Physical Therapist Award in 2001, Outstanding Alumnae from Rutgers University in 2004, and The Cerasoli Educator Award for Outstanding contributions to the education of student physical therapists in 2008 from the University of Colorado Physical Therapy Program.

In her spare time she enjoys running, hiking, snowshoeing, skiing, biking and golfing…….basically, anything outdoors.

Kristin Carpenter, PT, DPT

After completing her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree at the University of Colorado in 2008, Dr. Carpenter joined Waldron’s Peak Physical Therapy, PC to practice in an environment where individualized care, collaboration, and evidence-based practice are cornerstones.  Kristin communicates with each client to establish a plan of care outlining specific goals and addressing expectations of treatment.  She utilizes a manual therapy approach to treatment based on both clinical experience and scientific literature supporting the efficacy of manual therapy in treatment of spinal and extremity disorders. By combining hands-on treatment with customized exercise and education, Kristin strives to empower clients to manage their own health.  An NCAA athlete, Ironman triathlon finisher and competitive marathon runner, she incorporates her passion for movement and exercise into her clinical practice for individuals of all activity levels.

Kristin is active in advancing the profession of physical therapy through clinical research.  She continues to participate in research studies investigating the effects of spinal and extremity manipulation on musculoskeletal disorders.  Participation in these studies has resulted in numerous peer-reviewed publications.  Eager to keep her practice current, Kristin regularly attends national conferences and continuing education courses.  Beginning in 2011, she will begin an advanced residency and fellowship program to become a certified Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist and to further enhance her manual therapy skills. Kristin is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists (AAOMPT).

Dade Smith PT, DPT,

Dr. Dade Smith, PT, DPT joined our team at Waldron’s Peak Physical Therapy after completing his Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy at Regis University. Dade’s interest to join our practice comes from a personal desire to be a part of a dynamic team who focuses on a sound set of practice core values. These include using current best evidence to guide individual care for each of our patients, promoting leadership and autonomy in PT practice, encouraging altruism, and collaborating with other expert physical therapists and healthcare professionals that ultimately leads to the achievements of the desired goals of his patients. He enjoys seeing patients with a variety of orthopedic and sports injuries and has a particular interest in promoting health and preventing injuries in our active Boulder client population.  He routinely uses a combination of manual therapy and exercises to accomplish these excellent patient outcomes.

Based upon his experiences as an NCAA athlete at Gonzaga University and an active individual, Dade has a unique insight in helping his patients set and achieve their personal performance goals. Dade prides himself on educating his patients on the benefits of physical therapy and exercise throughout the course of treatment.  His focus on education provides patients with the knowledge and skills needed to be their own advocates for their health and prevention of injury re-occurrence.

Dade is currently an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA). He currently is the Co-Chair of the APTA’s Bob Doctor Golf Tournament and is an active member of Alpha Sigma Nu Honor Society, a national Jesuit honor society that recognizes graduates who excel in scholarship, leadership, and service.

In his free time Dade enjoys expanding his expertise within the physical therapy profession by attending a variety of local, state and national professional education conferences.  Dade also enjoys spending time playing soccer and coaching the Boulder High School boys’ soccer team goalkeepers and assisting with the instructing the team.  He is an avid snowboarder and mountain biker, and also enjoys hiking with his wife Michaela, golfing, and fly-fishing.

Stephanie Pascoe, PT, DPT, OCS

Dr. Pascoe joined the Waldron’s Peak Physical Therapy team in November of 2010. She graduated from Regis University in 2008 and continued her studies at the University of Wisconsin as an orthopedic resident and became an orthopedic certified specialist in 2010. She is currently involved in a manual therapy fellowship program, and plans to complete this in 2011. Stephanie has had experience in various orthopedic clinics during her advanced training.  These included spine, chronic pain, TMJ and hand clinics. She is also a certified aerobics instructor and personal trainer and enjoys incorporating this knowledge in her treatment plans to optimize the health and wellness of her patients.

Stephanie enjoys working with patients with a variety of orthopedic conditions. Her practice is focused on developing an individual plan of care for each patient. She emphasizes evidence-based practice by combining manual skills along with exercise to optimize outcomes. To keep her skills sharp, Stephanie attends various national and state conferences throughout the year. She is active on the professional development committee for the Colorado APTA chapter, in addition to being an active member of the AAOMPT and the American Council of Exercise (ACE). She also enjoys teaching opportunities and mentoring physical therapy students.

During her spare time, Stephanie enjoys spending time with her husband and new puppy, Maia. Her pastimes include traveling, snowboarding and swimming.

Nancy Mulligan, PT, DPT, OCS,

Nancy Mulligan, PT, DPT, OCS joined the Waldron’s Peak Physical Therapy, P.C. team in 2009, having practiced physical therapy and advanced manual therapy in the Boulder/Denver area since 1989. Dr. Mulligan graduated from physical therapy school in 1984 from University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. She earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in 2006 from Regis University. She received her advanced APTA Orthopedic Specialist Certification (OCS) in 2007. While she has a broad primary care perspective and comfort level within her field, Nancy is particularly interested in spine, sports and orthopedic injuries and their involvement in individuals with chronic neurological disorders. In addition, Nancy enjoys utilizing her broad experience in manual therapy, neuromuscular re-education, ergonomics and fitness to improve the lifestyle of her patients of all ages and occupations.
Dr. Mulligan is a full time faculty member in the School of Physical Therapy at Regis University where she is the chair of the Department of Physical Therapy Practice. Dr. Mulligan’s primary teaching responsibilities are in the areas of clinical education, musculoskeletal management and professional issues.
Nancy has contributed to multiple community service projects that promote health and wellness in the community through activities such as Project Homeless Connect, the 9 News Health Fair, Special Olympics, and the Children’s Hospital Courage Classic Bike Ride. She has also had the opportunity to live and serve as a physical therapist in East Africa.
Like many of her patients, Nancy spends her free time cycling, hiking and telemark skiing in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado.
